Type and Purpose of Processed Personal Data
We process the data you provide in connection with your application via our online career portal to provide you with an account, assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions within our company), and carry out the application process.
If a user makes use of this option, the data entered in the input mask will be transmitted to us and stored. If you submit a job application to us, we will process any affiliated personal data (e.g., contact and communications data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.), if they are required to make a decision concerning the establishment or an employment relationship.
The following data is also stored at the time the message is sent:
- Date and time of the enquiry
- URL from which the enquiry was made
It is also possible to contact us via the email addresses provided. In this case, the user’s personal data transmitted with the e-mail will be stored. This includes the date and time the e-mail was sent, e-mail address, IP addresses and information on the servers involved in the e-mail communication.
You can also contact us via the telephone number provided. In this case, we collect log data that includes your telephone number and the duration of the call.
Regardless of the type of communication selected, we collect the content of your enquiry. Your data is stored for the purpose of personalised communication with you.
Providing the data is voluntary. However, without the required data, we cannot make a decision regarding the establishment of an employment relationship.
If your application results in an employment contract, your data may be processed and used in compliance with applicable legal regulations, about which you will be separately informed.
You have the right to withdraw your application at any time. Under the “Options – Settings” tab, you can delete your profile independently at any time.
Legal Basis
The primary legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is § 26 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act). Processing is permitted if it is necessary for making decisions about establishing an employment relationship. Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (General Contract Negotiations) and – provided you have given us your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke any consent given at any time. Within our company, your personal data will only be shared with individuals who are involved in the processing of your job application.
If your job application should result in your recruitment, the data you have submitted will be archived on the grounds of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship in our data processing system.
If you contact us in connection with an existing contractual relationship, the data entered in the contact form will be processed to carry out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
If the data is required for legal prosecution after the application process has ended, data processing may occur under the provisions of Article 6 GDPR, particularly to protect legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 Para. 1(f) GDPR. Our interest in such cases would be the assertion or defense of legal claims.
Storage Duration
Your account will remain stored until you delete it. Inactive accounts will be deleted by us after two years of inactivity.
Applicant data will be automatically deleted six months after rejection.
If you have agreed to the further storage of your personal data and we have included it in our talent pool, your data will be deleted after a storage period of two years (starting from your last update in the e-recruiting system or the completion of the application process), unless you delete it yourself in the system before the end of this period or revoke your agreement.
If you receive an offer for a position during the application process, the data from the applicant management system will be transferred to our HR information system.
In case of legal claims regarding the rejection of applicants, data will be stored as long as necessary due to legal disputes or statutory retention obligations.
The storage serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is evident that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g., due to an impending or pending legal dispute), deletion will only take place when the purpose for further storage no longer applies.
Longer storage may also take place if you have given your agreement (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory data retention requirements preclude the deletion. After the retention period, we will delete your personal data and retain only anonymized data for reporting/statistical purposes.
Data Recipients
After submitting your application and creating a candidate profile, your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to those responsible for the respective open position, and the process will continue. In general, only those persons within the company who need access to your data for the proper processing of our application process will have access. Your data will always be treated confidentially.
We use the service provider SAP Deutschland SE & Co. KG based in Walldorf to operate the career portal. This provider is bound by our strict instructions and highest security standards when processing your personal data. The career page is hosted by profihost GmbH, Hildesheimer Str. 25, 30880 Laatzen. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Profihost, as well as with the agency Kreativburschen from Wolfenbüttel, which assists in the creation of the website.

Mast-Jägermeister SE intends to continue storing applicant data after an unsuccessful conclusion of an application process and to use it to match the data with the requirements of other vacant positions at Mast-Jägermeister SE. If a match is found with a suitable open position, Mast-Jägermeister SE will contact the applicant again and potentially initiate a new application process. The storage duration is a maximum of 2 years. After this period, the stored data will be independently and irrevocably deleted or destroyed by Mast-Jägermeister SE.
I hereby consent to the Mast-Jägermeister SE storing my personal data for the above-mentioned purpose, which includes:
- The data I provided during the application process (e.g., through application documents and interviews), as well as
- Data that was lawfully collected during the application process (e.g., from publicly accessible professional networks, questionnaires),
